Poem: Return To The Ocean

Listen Later

How I long to return to the ocean

My love, I am in devotion to this body of water

A daughter of the sea

The magic of its depths

As it touches me, I am blessed

The beauty and the mess

The waves and their tests

How I long to be home

Learning from all that it knows

Holding me in my pain, my woes

Rebirthing me so that I can grow

Oh, how I long to return to the ocean

Rest in its gentle motion

Drown the outside commotion

Oh how I must return to the ocean

Feel its embrace

I must make haste

So that I can return to my home

Never there, do I feel alone
