If you're not unique, then what's the use?
Why bother, what's the point to choose?
If you don't possess that special flair,
Why even try, why even dare?
If you don't have what others don't,
What's the purpose, what's the front?
If you can't find what's undiscovered,
Why push yourself, why bother?
What's the point in being average,
Or better by just a small percentage?
What's the point of such small goals,
When the world's pursuit is full of holes?
Why waste your time and effort small,
For things that don't matter at all?
The world's thinking is too low,
Its ambitions too little to show.
They fight tooth and nail for a nickel,
And for a point they bleed and trickle.
Why should a man go through so much,
For just a small and insignificant touch?
If you're not the greatest of them all,
Then to them, you're nothing at all.
If you're not miles ahead of the pack,
Then to them, you're still a hack.
In every field, the legends are few,
And the rest are all fighting for a clue.
If you're not one of a kind in your domain,
What's the point, why go against the grain?
What's the point of practice and strife,
If you're not unique in your life?
To become nothing, a nobody, and average,
To become mediocre, a mere scavenger.
Those who see this as motivation,
Are fools who seek mere validation.
To constantly push requires much more,
Than just simple motivation, that's for sure.
If you're not the only one in the world,
At something, then your efforts are hurled.
