It has always made me sad (and yes, a little bit bitter) that female writers aren't quite recognized as most writers. For the month of October, we will be reading poetry by the famous Emily Dickenson. The first poem for this month is, "Because I could not stop for death". Who is Emily Dickenson? One of the most important figures in American poetry. This woman is a classic. Not much was known in her life, but we do know that she changed poetry by the way she treated everything in the world using her words. I hope you enjoy the month of October with Miss Emily Dickenson.
