This episode, “The Cold War”, is the first of a 3-part trilogy, and in it we see the two machines size each other up and show what they can do. A prelude to, perhaps, a “hot war” to come, and a parallel, perhaps, to Elias and Dominic. Samaritan shows what it can do to get the trains to (literally) run on time, and what it can do to send the city into chaos.
