Back to some complicated grimy deep techno this month. I really have grown to love this genre over the last few years. This mix probably goes along with seasonal depression lol...

In this set I go way back to the dark trance vibes of the early 2000s and mix it with a lot of newer music in tech-house and techno to round it out. Very happy with how this set peaks - it takes a lot of work to get there, but it is all worth it - and you are let back down to the ground slowly at the end of the set.

I picked this name not because the set is trancey - it is - but because the soundscape is so stacked of moving gears and melodies, percussion, keys, vocals - theres not much space left to breathe.

All this turns together to push you forward through the roughly hour and a hald to get to the end of the set. 

It is definitely a ride through all the gears - and I hope you will enjoy!

It's that time again - my favorite mix of the year. My deep winter trance set. Thanks to lots of new and old friends for inspiring me this winter and bringing me good vibes : )

Tons of big names in this mix, and lots of old goodies I have been waiting to drop for years in this mix. I am in love with how it came out, so extremely listenable!!!

I end this set with a D:Fuse track, who passed away a year ago this month. He was one of the most inspiring artists I have ever known. What a great guy, so much energy, and such an amazing taste in house music. In the mix also is a bit from my favorite hard trance artist Scot Project - who I saw D:Fuse open for at one of the most incredible club nights of my entire life in NYC. WOW I will NEVER forget!!!!

Just went on a 25 hour road trip and listened to my own breaks mixes the whole time.  Also in a state of emotional chaos... I really wasnt feeling most of them. One mix really made me feel great. ONE mix really made me feel alive. THis one stood out so much from all the rest. And here it is for you to listen to - coming back from 2016!!!

I've been wanting to put down some breaks mixes along these lines for a long time. Never got in to spinning the progressive trancey style of breaks, but its definitely my favorite to listen to. Pretty surprisingly, this style of breaks has been making a big comeback over the last couple years. Some of the new tracks out you cant even tell weren't made in the late 1990's.

I hope this mix gives you endless listening pleasure. Hybrid turned me on to this style when I was in highschool and I can still listen to Wide Angle 10 times in a row without getting tired of it.

Donald Glaude dropped a few tracks at Joshua Tree Music Festival that really made me think back on this set too, so the decision was final - time to re-release it!

I've collected tracks for 3 years to put this House mix together just the way I wanted to be heard. Every now and then, I would her some percussion that just drove me wild. Banging toms on a big system, 1970s disco energy in such a raw form, I could swear theres actually analogue gear in some of these tracks. Computer music has really come a long way, some of these tracks have so much depth!

I pulled some tracks from events before COVID, 2019 was a great year for house music. So much came for us in 2020 too that had been in the works but I was never able to play it out how I wanted to. I suppose this is a throwback set then, since I got the idea for it in 2019 and it would have been my 2020-2021 live set vibe. 

A lot has come out since then though, and I am 100% pleased with the time spent waiting, looking for more to add to this one. Some day I hope to be swimming in tracks like these. I've only been able to season mixes lightly with them in the past. 

I hope this month's mix inspires you to let go and get down wherever you listen to it. BRING ON THE DRUMS!!!

Up for listening this month is the second half of my live set at Zirco Loco in Joshua Tree back in March. That was my first show of the year - SO MUCH has happenned since then! The first half of my set was house, this second half is trancy progressive. Zircon would have loved it!

I usually play a lot higher energy, but this was  a really great late night vibe for a warm night out in the desert.

Thankfully a couple months ago I got turned on to new style Garage music thats right up my alley. Vibes the same as the bassline I got in to years ago - but a bit heavier on the breaks influence and less from electro. This new bass music really got me going this festival season, and it was always the highlight of my days and nights. I tossed in a few teaser tracks back in my May podcast and really held back. 

July is always a big buildup mix for my adventure out to Burning Man, and I knew this new music added to some solid electro and Florida Breakz would blow the top off the July mix this year.  I love where this new music is going and hope to find lots more - and even have the right context to play more sets like this one!

About half the songs in this mix came out in the last two months, a few even the last few weeks. I am so impressed with how quickly they are making it from release to the dancefloors here! BIG ups to ALL the dj's out there dropping this sound. I have so much appriciation for you <3

WOW! Lightning in a Bottle did not disappoint! I heard so much great music that week - mostly at the Woogie stage where I was working. I was BLESSED to play a surprise stage open set too, dream come true on the insane Funktion One sound system. I played 80s and 90s hip hop like my last podcast episode, and some gangster rap like the Rat Trap mix from last summer. The Woogie stage has definitely THE place to be at LIB! Amazing amounts of sick house, garage, and disco all week long. I was so inspired. I had so many tracks to trainspot. That took me down a rabbit hole of new music after the event - so this mix is up two weeks late. TOTALLY WORTH IT!!!
