For nearly two decades, an anonymous letter writer terrorized the town of Circleville, Ohio, by sending threatening letters that exposed alleged secrets about the town’s residents. The campaign of terror first began in March of 1977 and by the time the final letter was sent in the 1990s, it is believed that close to a thousand were received by locals.
