Steve Buzzard didn’t want to work for Oklahoma State. In fact, when he moved to Stillwater from Talequah for the job he cried half the trip. That was in 1983. Forty years later, and Buzzard can’t imagine living anywhere else. Buzzard spent the first half of his four-decade career working as a Sports Information Director. He was there for Cowboy Football’s first 10-2 season. He knew Mike Gundy the quarterback before he was ever Mike Gundy the head coach. He watched from the sideline as Barry Sanders singlehandedly changed college football. Buzzard witnessed Eddie Sutton lead the Pokes to the Final Four. He remembers the life changing phone call from January 2001 and will always Remember the Ten. Buzzard’s memories of Oklahoma State are endless. The talent he saw was incomparable. The friendships he made were priceless.
