Lexi Kilfoyl’s love of softball didn’t come naturally. She had to be persuaded not to quit after her first year playing. Without that push from her parents, Kilfoyl never would have become a high school varsity pitcher as a seventh grader. Or a two-time Gatorade Player of the Year. She played her first three seasons of college softball for Alabama, and in her junior year, she played through a hip injury that left her questioning a future in Tuscaloosa. Kilfoyl entered the transfer portal, Kilfoyl found her new home at Oklahoma State and rediscovered her love of the game.
