Sam Simmons is licensed as an Alcohol and Drug Counselor who has over 25-year experience as a behavioral consultant in the areas of chemical dependency, violence abatement and historical trauma. He specializes in practical culturally sensitive trauma informed work with African American males and their families. Sam Simmons is founder of the Black Men Healing Conference and President and CEO of Sam Simmons Consulting. Sam comes to give his perspective of the rash outbreak of Police shootings that have resulted in Black men being senselessly shot dead at the hands of law enforcement. We will talk about possible solutions to eliminate the targeting and killing of Black men in America and the trauma Black men face.
