Roy McComb is a former senior detective with the Police Service of Northern Ireland (the Royal Ulster Constabulary), who subsequently became Deputy Director for the National Crime Agency. In 2015 he was appointed to lead the investigation into long-standing allegations of police corruption in relation to the original Stephen Lawrence murder inquiry.

Roy started his career in policing in Northern Ireland during 'the troubles'. A highly volatile time when police not only had to deal with the everyday duties of normal policing but also faced the daily threat of terror attacks. Roy and his colleagues spent their days constantly thinking about personal safety, living double lives, and lying to others about the job they did.

Any small slip-up could result in them being killed by the IRA. Roy's story is truly captivating and we are so honored to have him join us on Protect and serve.
