Our first guests were part of a webinar held by the University of Kwa-Zulu Natal assessing the policing system during this national lockdown. The police has not managed to lose the public's trust through the use of excessive force, ending the life of Collins Khoza in Alexandra.
This has also highlighted the failures to protect the most vulnerable members of society: women, children, LGBTQI+ community (GBV) and migrants (corruption, xenophobia & afrophobia). The police representatives assured the public that the Police Commissioner and management are taking these concerns seriously, seeking to hold "bad apples" accountable.
