David Benson is a Ph.D. candidate in the Political Science Department at the University of Chicago. He is also Program Coordinator for the Program on International Politics, Economics, and Security (PIPES), and a research fellow at the Chicago Project on Security and Terrorism (CPOST). Prior to coming to the University of Chicago, David served six and a half years in the U.S. Army, including a tour in Iraq in 2006, followed by a year and a half as an intelligence analyst and instructor for the Joint-IED Defeat Organization (JIEDDO) in the Department of Defense.

In this week’s episode of Chicago Policy Radio, Thomas Day sits down with David Benson to discuss cyber terrorism, its implications for international security, and the often exaggerated perception of this risk.
