California's District 1 covers most of Plumas, Sierra, and Nevada Counties, as well as part of Placer County. Incumbent Republican Doug LaMalfa has held the seat since 2012. He's being challenged by Democrat Audrey Denney, a former CSU Chico professor. Tony Lopez and Gary Dietrich look at both candidates.
