Every year approaching New Years Day I spend some time asking God what is on his heart for the new year. January 1st, 2018 I heard some things about the mid-term elections and the relentless assaults on the President of the United States by “political mobs”. For many of you who don’t know me personally, you may not have a grid for what I’m about to share. Please watch the video or listen to the audio for some context. Below is the word that I received on January 1st, 2018. I also outline some of the main points of the video and walk you through the Daniel 6 reference. I believe this passage and word is relevant for the summer of 2018 in particular. It provides insight into what is going on in our nation’s capital and how to pray.

Word Jan. 1st 2018

Just like Daniel 6, where the political elite grew through thronging assembly, so too will the American government begin to see a thronging agreement of top-ranking officials seeking to undermine the Godly counsel given to the President. The future of this nation is being directed by the hand of God once more. This is going to be challenged in 2018 in remarkable ways. It will be thwarted by MY MIRACULOUS HAND so that the world will know that I AM in the midst of my people in America. The schemes and pilfering hearts of the enemies of the United States will be discovered and dismantled between June and Sept 2018. Come October, a new light on the mid-term elections will dawn and the sea of dread will once again set in for the enemy when all his carefully laid plans get exposed and destroyed.

Daniel 6 & “Political Mobs”

A key to understanding the wisdom of Daniel 6 is defining the word “agreement”. It is used three times in this passage and means “thronging assembly”. That’s a funny way to say “mob”, and it describes the actions of top-level government officials (Satraps) plotting to remove Daniel from power. They join together in what can best be described as a political mob. This mob initiates a national hunt for anything which can use to discredit Daniel and remove him from office (see Dan.6:4). But, since they can find nothing, they decide to entrap Daniel. Their plan is to use political manipulation to create a manufactured controversy based on the fact Daniel is a faithful Jew (see Dan.6:5).

Using a legal maneuver they come to the king in “agreement” – AKA mob – and convince him to sign a temporary injunction banning prayer for 30 days. The scripture then says these government leaders went to Daniel’s house in “agreement”, or as a mob. Again with the mobbing! There they “catch” Daniel praying in his home in a direct violation of the manipulative edict. So the plan to create a witch hunt and entrap him has worked. But while they’ve caught their prey, they’ve still proved nothing about Daniel. Except to further demonstrate he is truly faithful and their efforts are a pathetic mob-like power grab.

How far did this political mob have to go to get Daniel? Why were they invading the privacy of one of the Kings top three advisors? What kind of a risk were these 120 lower level officials taking to mob the higher ranking Daniel’s home? How exactly did they catch him praying? The scriptures are clear that Daniel had a room inside his home on the third floor facing Jerusalem for prayer. It appears that the political mob broke in and raided Daniel’s private residence on the pretense of their false national accusations. It was a total setup.
