This week, the Minister of Police says we need to remember what the Wally Haumaha inquiry is about.
The inquiry into his appointment as Deputy Police Commissioner was launched after historical comments about Louise Nicholas' rape allegations.
It has been revealed Doctor Pauline Kingi, endorsed Haumaha 23 different times on Linkedin.
National says there's a clear conflict or interest and she must step down.
However, Stuart Nash told Mike Hosking the inquiry is about whether he, as Police Minister, had all the information required to allow him to make an informed decision.
"So that's what we have got to keep in mind. That is what the inquiry is about, it's not about is Mr Haumaha suitable for the job."
