In politics, it's not truth that matters. It's what's perceived to be the truth that reigns supreme. There are so many lies, deceits, distortions, disinformation, misinformation, misrepresentation, false news, false facts. It's one big cesspool of hypocrisy, double-standards, and demagoguery. No ethics. No accountability. The ends justify corrupt means. It's wrong and it's why our country and our world is in the toilet. What can we do about it? Each of us must take responsibility for telling the truth and calling out the liars wherever they may be, regardless of whose side they're on.
