This week, the pair discussed the ongoing turmoil facing the National Party, with MP Mark Mitchell admitting he was completely blindsided by the bombshell revelation released on Monday.

Mitchell is also concerned over the state of Jami Lee Ross' mental health, after the former National MP took personal leave several weeks ago.

"He has to take responsibility for his actions, but he must look after himself first."
