Beginning in 1999, Polly Letofsky began a journey around the world, relying on the most ancient form of transportation: her feet. Five years, 22 countries, 14,124 miles, and 29 pairs of shoes later, she officially became the first woman to walk around the planet, raising over a quarter of a million dollars for breast cancer awareness.
