The American novel Pollyanna was written by Eleanor H Porter.  In 1960 the great Hayley Mills portrayed Pollyanna in a Disney movie. She won a special Oscar for that role! It is a powerful movie. It is NOT about being overly optimistic about alllll things! Being Pollyanna has been used in a fairly mocking tone over the years. I spend a few minutes talking about Pollyanna and gratitude.
