You wont be a sinner if you don’t do these but you will be a saint if you do. Why? To put it simply, Christ was all three of these – the poor, chaste, and obedient one – and he counseled us to do the same if we could. That is, you may not want it but Christ wants them for you. In today’s homily, on the Solemnity of Our Lord Jesus Christ, King of the Universe, the question is will you let him be the sovereign of your heart? Will you let Christ sit on the throne of your heart?

To help with this we spend some time talking about two of the three evangelical counsels which aid us in giving him more and more territory of our heart’s throne.
