This week, we stepped into the afterlife with Eternity, where forever isn’t just a concept, it’s a choice. But while the film tackles big themes like discrimination, power, and community, it plays things a little too safe, making some moments feel predictable when they could’ve hit harder.

This week, we’re rocking our way through a double feature, the 1992 classic The Hand That Rocks the Cradle and Hulu’s shiny new reboot.

In the original, a picture-perfect family hires a seemingly perfect nanny… who turns out to be terrifyingly good at multitasking (revenge, manipulation, and interior design). Meanwhile, Hulu’s reboot tries to modernize the story, and somehow loses all the tension, charm, and, well… logic. 😬

We break down what worked back in ’92, why the new version misses the mark, and why some things are better left un-remade. Spoiler: nothing compares to the original. 🎙️💀

Ring, ring… it’s The Black Phone 2, and it’s calling collect. Ethan Hawke returns as The Grabber, but does this sequel have enough to keep us on the line?
