One of the most vivid memories I have as a child is the racism I experienced being a child of color growing up in predominately white environment. I had all kinds of racial slurs hurled at me and had absolutely no idea what they meant. This blissful ignorance I had I credit to my parents who were in no way racist. How did I become who I am and have the outlook I have at life today?
