"Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it."

If you are a parent, you have likely committed this verse to memory. But if you have ever watched children raised by the exact same parents in the exact same household turn out completely opposite, this verse might leave you confused, frustrated, or even carrying a heavy burden of guilt.
