Since starting this You Love to See It spinoff (focussing on weirder or more niche horror), we’ve been enamored with movies that blend drama and horror. Belzebuth used terrifying real-life imagery (depicting too-real scenes of violence) before the statue scene, and here, in Andrzej Żuławski’s only english-language film, we see much ado about personal drama and a marriage falling apart alongside all the gory, gruesome stuff. But there is plenty of both, and today’s trio of merritt, Collin, and Danielle all grappled with their own interpretations of this beautifully-shot, gut-wrenching movie.
