Let’s make sure you have all your paperwork ready to do Vaginoplasty surgery. It is really important you educate yourself and your staff and your patients on what you expect of them, what to expect during recovery, and how to make sure they do all the right things to heal as fast and as perfect as possible.
With this Post Op Vaginoplasty/Pelvic Reconstruction Instruction Form the patient reads, initials, and signs the document so that there are few to no “You did not tell me” moments. Excellent medicolegal protection.
Watch this 13 minute video carefully and absorb it, copy it, modify to your needs. Place a signed copy in your chart, give the patient a signed copy. Place it on your website for patients to access.

Notice a few important things on the Post Op Instruction Sheet:
* The patient initials the left column so that she know what is specific for her and to show that she read the line item.
* The patient signs the bottom to confirm she has read it all and has a copy.
* Place a copy in your records and give the patient a copy also.
* I initial these on the bottom right (not shown here) to confirm that she was personally given the instructions. If it was not me then my nurse or MA will initial the bottom right.
* Notice that our Emergency Contact telephone numbers and emails are clearly present at the bottom of the document.
Once the patient is 6 weeks Post Op and well healed they will need to massage the vaginal opening for a week or two with her fingers and/or with vaginal dilators/vibrators. I have a video and downloadable PDF below on “Vaginal Softening Exercises.”
