Robert Schulman, a postal worker in Hicksville, New York, was convicted of murdering five women between 1991 and 1996. The victims' bodies were found in various locations, beaten and dismembered. Schulman's brother, Barry, was also involved in disposing of one of the bodies. The police were able to link Schulman to the murders through evidence such as a sleeping bag and witness testimonies. Schulman confessed to three of the murders and was sentenced to death, which was later converted to life in prison. He died in prison in 2006.
