This is the story of a French postman. But not just any postman. This is a guy who, after falling over a pretty-looking rock, decided to build an entire palace with his bare hands.

Throughout his life, Ferdinand Cheval was haunted by tragedy and sorrow. Loss after loss, he found himself out of control of his life and increasingly alone, with little to show. Perhaps being unable to sculpt his own destiny, he one day decided to take matters into his own hands - the matter in this case being literal rocks and pebbles he found along his delivery routes - and began sculpting a wondrous palace that would be his legacy.
