We are always talking to ourselves. Yes, it’s not just you, that self-talk may be good or bad, but it is powerful, it can have a determinative influence on ones life. We must take captive our negative self-talk if our lives are to be transformed. Even more relevantly, we must capture the eschatological lies that lurk in our minds. The lie that God is not on his throne, the lie that Satan is alive and well on planet earth, the lie that the Church is doomed to earthly defeat must be beaten to death with all haste, at stake is none other than our role, glorious or inglorious in the building up, or the dismantling of Christ’s kingdom on earth. May God give us grace to overcome evil with good.
