Lori Payne suffered from postpartum depression after giving birth to her son. She began to dink a little wine to ease the pain. Soon she was a full-blown alcoholic.

Lori became so reckless and out of control that her husband Todd kicked her out of the house fearing she might harm their son. 

Lori's life spiraled out of control she ended up in jail, homeless and living for a time in a rescue mission.
