Megan Richert, LCSW & PMH-C joins Molly and Irene to share her experience with Postpartum Depression and how she came to open her own Private Practice specializing in the Mental Health of Pregnant and Postpartum clients. The three start off by sharing their Lows and Highs for the week. Irene describes how high (unspoken) expectations led to feeling disappointed after a date night. She's also excited about a new living arrangement! Molly shares how an acute stressor overshadows other feelings from the past week. Megan explores the mind-body connection of feeling physical tension along with irritability, combined with hope for the future in many areas of her life.
Megan shares her education and career path in pursuit of her Masters Degree in Social Work. After giving birth and experiencing some frightening thoughts, Megan sought treatment and was diagnosed with Postpartum Depression. Through her own experiences and professional development, she realized her passion of treating mothers throughout pregnancy and after.
Megan is now accepting new clients and will return to in-person visits at her new office in Pismo Beach, CA in July! Go to her website for details: www.mrichertcounseling.com
