In 1 Timothy 4, Paul calls Timothy to fight three battles. This idea of being a soldier and fighting the good fight, is throughout 1 Timothy. Paul is speaking into Timothy to fight the good fight - the three battles mentioned in ch. 4 are battles you will fight and today is the day we have victory over these battles.
