Isaiah 40:6–8 reminds us that “all people are like grass… the grass withers and the flowers fade, but the word of our God stands forever.”

In this episode, I talk about what happens when we’ve accidentally built our stability on things that were never meant to last...and how to gently shift our footing back to the One who does. When we turn our eyes upon Jesus, the things of this world grow strangely dim, and we find the firm foundation we’ve been looking for all along.

Well as promised, "chat with a pastor" is back and today we have one of my favorites, Pastor Shaun Howard. Shaun and his wife Annie are good friends of ours, and anytime we get the opportunity to sit and talk, it's such a gift. Today we talk about how to lead in a culture with such political division and pastors having moral failures; as well as a really good conversation about friendship.

This is my first episode I recorded with someone else since starting back this year, and it was SO nice to ease back in with someone like Shaun. I pray you are encouraged, pointed closer to Jesus through our conversation.
