Title: Power From On High – The Promise of the Father

Text: Luke 24:44-49

Main Idea: Jesus Baptizes us with the Holy Spirit, or Power from on High, to clothe us, to work in us and through us.

I. Anointed - Clothed with Power from on High (v. 24:49)

- Priority-Stay in the City until clothed

- Isa 61:1-2

- Seek First His Kingdom and all these things will be added to you! (Mt 6:33)

II. Established - His Power Working In Us for Our Good and His Glory! (Isa 61:3)

- His Planting- See Jeremiah 31 and Psalm 1

- Oaks of Righteousness That He may be Glorified

- Double Portion for your Shame and Humiliation (v. 7)

- My soul will be Joyful in the Lord (v. 10)

III. Joy and Power - His Power Working Through Us (Isa 61:4,6,10)

- Ministers and Priests of the Lord

- Rebuild, Raise up and Restore
