Keaira is a native of Wilmington, DE. She holds a BA in English with a Concentration in Ethnic and Cultural Studies and a Master’s in Early Childhood Education with a Concentration in Special Education. Keaira’s childhood dream was to one day become a published author and be a voice for children of color. The inspiration behind her first book, “The Afro-Latino Alphabet” was the desire for her two children to see themselves in the books they read. Keaira is a middle school English teacher for a dual-language school in Newark, DE.
