Listen Later

JAMES W. FERGUSON, J.D., M.A.

James Ferguson has served as an advisor to executives and achievers in the sports, music, and telecommunications industries, to pastors and to public servants for more than twenty years. He is a prolific writer and ghostwriter. One of his daily goals is to develop leaders of leaders and leaders of organizations. In collaborating with church leaders, his focus is on growing and maturing the body of Christ. James often laughs when others look at his background and see a logical planned progression from one success to the next.

“I’ve made enough mistakes along the way, for me and for a lot of others. And there have been as many deep valleys as there have been peaks. I don’t wish the valleys on anybody. Although, for me, the valleys played an important role in my maturation process, in normalizing the fundamentals of success, in understanding the importance of pouring into others, and my reliance on God. More importantly, the grace of God has used each step, and placed special people along my path. Each of these have helped me to grow, to develop a commitment to continuous learning, and a commitment to developing others.”

When asked about whether there was any one thing that he believe makes the difference in our growth as Christians, James said: “Understanding that it is not about our perfection. It is about recognition and reliance on His perfection.”

James Ferguson has a Juris Doctor from Howard University School of Law, and a M.A. in Executive Leadership from Liberty University, School of Business. James describes himself as a child of God, a developer of people, and a Native New Yorker. He currently lives in the Washington, D.C. area.
