Power production takes center stage at BC council

On Thursday the Brigham City Council voted to move forward with a feasibility study for construction of a proposed natural gas peaking power plant, a project that could provide on-demand electricity and reduce reliance on volatile market-based energy purchases. The proposed facility would be built west and north of Mayor’s Pond, with an initial installation of three natural gas generators and space to expand to seven units in the future.
