Listen Later

Western Sydney Airport's new transmission substation has been switched on as part of a $320 million power project for the Aerotropolis area. The energy infrastructure is designed to service an additional 1.5 million people expected to move to Western Sydney over the next decade and support up to 200,000 new jobs. The airport is scheduled to open in October with capacity for 10 million passengers annually, alongside the planned city of Bradfield spanning 11,000 hectares.
