Amie gives you her tips for how college students can best avoid the freshman 15 and teaches you ways to stay healthy during your college years.
Amie’s advice for college students:
The first step to better health in college is the DESIRE to want to be fit.
Try to do 1.5-2 hours of cardio per week with 2-3 25 minute strength sessions per week.
Workout during college to regain your mental clarity; partying and drinking takes away your mental clarity!
Amie’s advice for parents of college bound students:
Look into getting your kid a gym membership while at college.
Have you child download and use My Fitness Pal. Amie is on there, so you can friend her at: Amie Hoff Fitness.
Find charity walks on campus such as walks for cancer
Amie’s parting shot: If it grows IN a plant DON’T eat it. If it comes from a plant EAT IT!
