  • #161 - Why You're Really Impatient

Impatience usually isn't about the traffic or the delay. It's about the gap between what we expected and what actually happened. Episode 1 of The Pursuit of Patience names that gap andasks where it's opening up in your own life.

  • #160 - Endurance and the Joy Ahead

It’s Holy Wednesday, “Spy Wednesday,” the day tradition associates with Judas sealing the betrayal. The shadow is deepening, and the cross is now in full view. But today’s text from Hebrews 12 gives us something unexpected: a word about joy. Not cheap joy. Not easy joy. The joy that held Jesus as he walked toward Friday. In this episode, we look at what it means to lay aside every weight, fix our eyes on Jesus, and keep running, because Sunday is coming, and the same joy set before him is set before us.

  • #159 - The Restless Heart

Drawing on Augustine, Richard Baxter, and John Wesley, this episode traces the restlessness men carry to its true source, and makes the case that Jesus Christ offers not just forgiveness, but the most comprehensive and satisfying account of human flourishing ever given.

  • #158 - Something Is Wrong

Most men carry a nagging sense that something is off, that the life they are living falls short of the life they were made for, and in this episode, Dale Tedder names that feeling honestly and begins to explore what it is actually pointing toward.

  • #157 - The Taught Tongue

Holy Tuesday: "The Taught Tongue"(Isaiah 50:4–9)Morning by morning, God awakens his Servant to listen before he speaks. On Holy Tuesday, we sit with Isaiah's third Servant Song, (written six centuries before Calvary), and hear a portrait of Jesus that is both startling and sustaining. He didn't turn back. He set his face like flint. Not because he was fearless, but because he knew who held him. What does that courage look like in your life today?

  • #156: We Wish to See Jesus

Holy Monday — "Sir, We Wish to See Jesus"(John 12:1–11 | Isaiah 42:1–9)Holy Week begins not with a shout but with a request (which is simple, desperate, and more profound than it first sounds): Sir, we wish to see Jesus. In this first morning devotion of Holy Week 2026, we followed some unlikely seekers to the feet of Christ and hear him speak of a grain of wheat that must fall and die before it bears fruit. What does it mean to truly see Jesus, and to follow him all the way? Join us as we begin the holiest week of the Christian year.

  • #155 - The Magi's Journey

We're in Epiphany, the season when light breaks into darkness and Christ is revealed to the nations. And it begins with foreigners.

The Magi weren't Jews. They didn't have the Scriptures. They didn't worship in the temple. But they saw a sign in the heavens and they came seeking. They traveled hundreds of miles through desert and danger, following a star, asking one question: "Where is he who has been born king of the Jews?"

Meanwhile, in Jerusalem, the religious experts had all the right answers. They could quote Micah 5:2 without hesitation: "Bethlehem." They knew the theology. But they didn't go. They stayed five miles away from the fulfillment of their own prophecies, content with knowledge but unwilling to seek.

This is the difference between knowing about God and actually seeking him.

In this episode, we confront a penetrating question: Are you seeking Christ, or are you settled for secondhand religion? Are you willing to follow the light wherever it leads, even when the path is unclear, even when it costs you something, even when it takes you out of your comfort zone?

The Magi came to worship. Not to debate. Not to analyze. They came, they saw, they fell down, they worshiped. And they went home changed men.

That's what Epiphany does. It changes the trajectory of your life.

  • #154 - A New Year in the Story

We stand at a threshold—new calendar, fresh start. But as Kingdom people, we don't begin with resolutions. We begin with worship. In this episode, I explore Moses' ancient prayer: "Teach us to number our days that we may get a heart of wisdom." What does it mean to truly grasp that our time is limited? How does that change everything—our priorities, our work, our witness? This isn't about life hacks or New Year's optimism. It's about living inside God's cosmic Story with intentionality, faithfulness, and hope. You're not responsible for outcomes. You're responsible for showing up. As we step into 2026, the question isn't "What's your breakthrough going to be?" It's "Where is God calling you to be faithful?" The Kingdom advances not in dramatic leaps, but in daily obedience—in the kitchen, the office, the neighborhood, the church.

Listen in as we explore how to number our days, establish the work of our hands, and live this year as people whose time is a gift and whose work matters for eternity.
