Are we only staying pure so that God can bless us with a spouse OR are we doing it to please God. Many times I think that we misunderstand why it is that we abstain from sex before marriage, a lot of us think or it has been taught to us that if we practice purity then God will bless us with a spouse and an amazing relationship which is NOT TRUE. God isn't asking us to give him something before he can bless us. Think about it this way: Purity deals with more of changing our hearts and character rather than preparing us for a spouse.
