Welcome to Episode 2 of the Pragmatic Bhakti Sutra. In this episode, we will discuss and explain Shlokas 1 to 6 from the Narada Bhakti Sutra. These are aphorisms on divine love termed as bhakti towards God.

In shlokas 1 to 6 of the Narada Bhakti Sutra, Narad Ji explains the Nature of Bhakti or Divine Love for and of God.

Narad Ji opens the Bhakti Sutra with his opening shloka, Shloka 1: अथातो भक्तिं व्याख्यास्यामः॥ १॥ (athāto bhaktiṁ vyākhyāsyāmaḥ) which means "Now, therefore, the doctrine of devotion we shall explain."
