Hello and welcome to another beautiful week in the @Music1Sound Community, The theme for week 65 Praise and Worship is “Mercy” I am so glad and thankful for this wonderful theme which was proposed by our dear artist @coderaikiri wand in that note, I will be singing the cover of “Mercy” by Moses Bliss, Pastor Jerry Eze and Sunmisola Agbebi.
I will also like to recognize the efforts of the MOD @stefy.music, Admins and the creator of this group for a lovely platform and initiative that is used to the Glory of the Lord. God bless and keep you. Amen.
Mercy means showing compassion or forgiveness to another, it is often used to refer to forgiveness and showing compassion to God’s people in the bible, God showed us mercy by sending our Lord and savior Jesus Christ to come in the form of man to die for our sins. 1 John 4:9-10 which reads “In this was manifested the love of God towards us, because that he sent his only begotten son into the world, that we might live through him, herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his son to be the propitiation for our sins.”
Jesus in the sermon of the mount also spoke about the merciful saying “Blessed are the merciful for they shall receive mercy. God shows mercy to whom he wants to show mercy to according to the book of Romans Chapter 9:15 “for he saith to Moses, I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy on and I will have compassion on who I will have compassion on”. And in Lamentation chapter 3:22-23 which also says “it is of the Lord’s mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassion fail not, they are new every morning, great is thy faithfulness”.
The song lyrics talks about the mercy of God, how it is only by his mercies, love and grace that the writer is still standing. How the mercies of God has help and kept him strong not allowing him to miss his way, how the mercies of God is always bringing him back, whenever his fall short. God deserves all the thanks and Glory for his mercies is always great and sufficient.
