Animals are a gift from God. Likely you agree even if you are not a pet person, for animals directly or indirectly contribute to the well-being, health, and flourishing of human life and civilization. When they become pets, our experience with them becomes more personal and enjoyable. In their zeal to protect animals, animal rights activists make the mistake of equating animals and human life, something God did not intend and something we need not do in a Christian worldview of the stewardship of creation.
