PRAISE HIM WITH UNDERSTANDING

*PRAISE WITH UNDERSTANDING*
Live Daily Footstool Devotional
Read Psalm 47
Psalm 47:6-7 KJVS
Sing praises to God, sing praises: sing praises unto our King, sing praises. [7] For God is the King of all the earth: sing ye *praises with understanding* .
God is King and everything He does is founded on great understanding and intent. Before you can be brought into your destiny of royalty, one fundamental preparation you will need is understanding. If you do not have understanding, you cannot appreciate. If you do not have understanding, you will end up trivialising things that are very expensive and majestic. It is the lack of understanding that makes us not praise God as we should. Yet, He has littered all of creation with so many wonders to draw us into deep thought of who He is. Nevertheless, the business of life and sometimes the foolishness of it’s pursuit robs us of the time and wisdom it will take to pause and consider the ways of God.
Romans 1:20 KJVS
For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, *being understood by the things that are made,* even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:
Take time to appreciate what God has done. God is the King of all the earth. Remember things in the earth that point to His reign, that is, things in the earth that suggest that only Someone supernatural and awesome like our God could do these things.
Look at the clouds above.
Think of how they hang and never fall. Think of how they change shapes and sometimes even to give us something to wonder about. Think of how they fall back as rain and at whose command they do.
Think of the ozone layer: appreciate that God has established a shield round about the earth to filter out the harmful rays of the sun so that skin cancer , for instance, will be minimised and not permitted.
Psalm 47:9 KJVS
The princes of the people are gathered together, even the people of the God of Abraham: for *the shields of the earth* belong unto God: he is greatly exalted.
Think about the trees around us. Observe that they are a vital source of the oxygen we breath in and a reliable absorbent for the carbon dioxide we breathe out. Appreciate that God has made everything not just for nothing, but with great understanding. Think of how wonderful He is.
Think about the people around you. Think about the gift of different kinds of people around you and how you benefit from directly relating with them or how you do not. It’s all wonderful.
Find something to praise God for. And praise with Him with understanding.
As you do, God will begin to enlarge your understanding and begin to ready you for the palace. God will begin to refine you and make you royal material, fit for serving kings and princes. As you praise God with understanding, God will bless you with the blessing he gave to Daniel and his three friends, who were made different and far more excellent than their peers who prided themselves in serving heathen gods.
Praise God with understanding today!
O LORD, how majestic are you in all the earth!
