Colossians chapter 1 beginning at verse 15, “He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. For by Him all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things were created through Him and for Him. And He is before all things, and in Him all things consist.”

It is utter folly for fallen man to think he is in control of anything. Psalm 2 warns the ungodly, that though they rage against His just right to govern their lives, and the attempt to push away His restraints on their behavior, yet one day, soon, they will stand trembling before the one who sits as the judge of all things. Finally, they will realize that He is God; however, it will be too late. We must pray for them to find mercy here and now.
