Scripture For Today: 2 Chronicles 6:20“May your eyes be open toward this temple day and night, this place of which you said you would put your Name there. May you hear the prayer your servant prays toward this place.”Don’t Charge the Atmosphere with Unbelief pt 2
Words. Words are one of THE most important things about prayer that you can learn about. Yesterday, we looked at Genesis 1:1 – 4 and how that sets the tone for EVERYTHING else in the Bible. It all revolves around WORDS. Mainly, the Words of God!
And, since the Bible is the inspired Word of God – the each and every word, each and every dot over each and every “I” and every comma or period are also inspired. To believe otherwise is unbelief in the God’s Word.
I know I’m stepping all over spiritual toes out there right now. But I’m not just stepping on them – I’m going to start jumping up and down on them now… get ready! Praise God!
Let’s look again at Genesis 1:1 – 4:
“In the beginning, GOD created the heaven and the earth…”
“And the earth was without form, and void, and darkness was upon the face of the deep…”
“And the Spirit of God MOVED upon the face of the waters…”
So, picture this with me… there is NOTHING. The earth HAD NO FORM. It was a void. Nothing.
Darkness was there. Darkness is always referred to Satan. God is Light and in Him there is no darkness. That is how, yesterday, we determined that God had regulated Satan to this void. He was in nothing. NOTH-ING! Then, God shows up…
NOTHING is happening. NOTHING. He’s just there, in the Holy Spirit, observing that there is NOTHING physical going on.
But, on the inside – God has the entire plan. He knows the end from the beginning. To bring it to fruition – God had to DO something. He had to bring what was INSIDE of Himself, into being. How did He do that?
WORDS!
He spoke WORDS. Words that were inside of Him that described exactly what He desired to happen. He did not mince His Words. He did not say, “Ok…let me see a sun…” Then a sun appeared. No that would not work. What if the sun appeared on the other side of the earth. It would still be nightfall on one side and daylight on the other.
No – God did not mince His Words. He spoke EXACTLY what was supposed to happen. Look at verse 3 now… “And God SAID – “LET THERE BE LIGHT!” And there WAS – LIGHT”
Verse 4: “And God SAW – physical seeing here – THE LIGHT. And it was GOOD.” Amen!
Who, does the Bible refer to, as the LIGHT of the world? JESUS!
Remember where we are at here…God speaking the Words that are INSIDE OF HIM. God only saying exactly what He wants to come to pass.
I truly believe that right HERE, in Genesis 1, is when JESUS – who was with God and who WAS God – became the third part of the God Head.
Think about that. We have “GOD” in verse one. We have the Spirit of God (or the Holy Spirit) in verse 2.
Now, we have “THE LIGHT” that was brought into the WORLD and it came about through THE WORD which means it was inside of God all along. And when God SPOKE the Word that was in Him… LIGHT BE – He could have said, “JESUS – LIGHT OF THE WORLD – BE!”
And then the Bible says, “AND LIGHT WAS.” JESUS WAS now part of God giving light to the world! And we KNOW this was not a sun or star because the Bible is very clear these were not created until day four. Amen!
Folks, I’m just trying to get you to read DEEPER into the Bible instead of taking it at face value. We are out of time for today – but, once again, we will take this up again tomorrow.
