Prayer 2021 - October 26 - God's Word IS God's Will pt 1
Scripture For Today:1 Kings 8:44“When your people go to war against their enemies, wherever you send them, and when they pray to the Lord toward the city you have chosen and the temple I have built for your Name, (I will hear…)”God’s Word is God’s Will pt 1
I want to go into a discussion today, of something that will move your prayer life along the path of success faster than anything else I know. That is the very fact – that when you come to understand “God’s Word IS God’s Will,” you will be able to stand on His Word in Faith in whatever situation you find yourself.
In the Lord’s Prayer, it says, “Thy will be done, in earth as it is in Heaven…” Other scriptures, too numerous to list, always reference the same fact. Just like “Your Word is Truth.”
When you start to put these thing into perspective, you can’t help but build up your mountain moving Faith! Amen!
In First John 5:14-15, we read:
“…and this is the confidence that WE HAVE – IN HIM! That, if we ask ANYTHING according to what? HIS WILL – He hears us. And if we KNOW that HE hears us, whatsoever we ask, we KNOW that we HAVE the petitions that we desire of Him…”
Let’s break that verse down for a closer look…
Confidence in Him (God the Father). What does it mean you can have confidence in someone? It means when they give you their “word,” you know they always keep it. If someone says they will do something, you understand they will do it. No matter what. Your past experience gives you a confidence that they WILL do what they said they will DO. Amen!
Moving on… “If we ask anything, according to His Will, we know He (God) hears us…”
If someone tells you they will do something, and your past experience with says they enjoy doing whatever IT is, and they have never failed to do this sort of thing in the past… you can have that CONFIDENCE (that we just talked about), that this person will do what they promised for you. Amen!
The rest of the verse goes on to explain how we can rest in our confidence, that whatever this person has promised he or she will do – they will do it. We don’t have to give it a second thought. It is as good a done. Amen!
If I tell my grandchildren that papa is going to do, “x, y, or z” for them, because of the relationship we have; because of their past experience of papa coming through on promises just like this in the past; because they KNOW in their heart (not just in their minds) that papa ALWAYS enjoys blessing them – they can rest assured BELIEVE that papa is going to deliver. In their mind – it’s “already been done.” Amen!
That’s the type of confidence WE can have with God when we find a promise we need in the Bible. HE wrote down His promises TO US! Amen!
Another translation of 1 John 5:14-15 says, “This the BOLDNESS we can have in Him…”
BE BOLD in your Faith! Amen!
I want to pray for you right now that you will just venture outside of your comfort zone a little bit – and BOLDNESS to simply believe what God has already promised in His Word WILL COME TO PASS in your life. This type of BOLDNESS – that His Word IS His Will – will bless you every single time you stand on His Word in YOUR prayer life. Amen!
