The pivotal moment in the story of Esther leads to a decision to turn to God in prayer and fasting. God has given us a point of contact with Him where earth can touch heaven and heaven can respond to earth. It's called prayer. But our spiritual senses can become dulled to spiritual things, and the only way to be in tune with God's leading is to purposely set aside physical things because of a greater spiritual need.
