Prayer is petitioning God for His will to be done here on earth as it is in heaven. Vs 1-2- the motive of your righteous deeds. There is a right way to pray and a wrong way to pray...Seek to impress God, not man. Examine yourself (as David did ask God to examine your heart). Do nothing in vain glory whether it be prayer, counsel, service or speaking. Hold fast to the knowledge of God's righteousness.
