Welcome to devotionALL, a spiritual resource for daily living. We are still at the beginning of a brand new series focusing on prayer. Specifically on how to heal and revive our prayer lives. Thus this new series is entitled: pray:ER, and this is episode two. On this episode we will revisit the statement of Jesus warning us about seeking to build a relationship with Him as actors (hypocrites). We will see the link the Bible present between hypocrisy and idolatry. Idols are some of the highest forms of actors (hypocrites)! Below are the verses we will be looking at in this episode Matthew 6:5 “And when you pray, you shall not be like the hypocrites. For they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the corners of the streets, that they may be seen by men. Assuredly, I say to you, they have their reward.” Isaiah 37:17 “Incline Your ear, O LORD, and hear; open Your eyes, O LORD, and see; and hear all the words of Sennacherib, which he has sent to reproach the living God.” Daniel 6:2
